Achille Castiglioni was born in Milan in 1918. He earned a degree in architecture engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Milan in 1944. Upon graduating from university, he began working with his brother Pier. Pier Giacomo Castiglioni was born in 1913. He too attained a higher education from the Polytechnic Institute of Milan and joined in his brother Achille's active creative work.
